.: The History of the Whor€'s ôƒ ßaߥLõn Guild

The Whores of Babylon was created by Zauron, Squiggle, Roy and Satanica, back when guilds cost a mere 1 million credits (which was still an insane amount of cash at the time). The 4 had previously come together in a long gone guild knows as S3[Oz] - Higher Order of the Chaos Angels. When the guild was deleted for the second time most of the members went their seperate ways. These 4 remained in touch... partly due to the latter 3 knowing each other from the real world.

The name came about after Satanica had been watching Monty Python's Life of Brian one night. A scene in which Terry Gilliam (the Python cartoonist) is playing a rather insane prophet makes mention of a Whore of Babylon. The exact quote can be found by visiting the guild. This name was put to the others and was chosen as the name to end all names.

For a long time Zauron remained as Leader, Squiggle as the Co and Roy and Satanica taking on other jobs. Sadly Zauron became bored with the AAA and particularly the repeated server bugs that deleted large numbers of players on an almost weekly basis. He gradually went in to the background of the Whores, at which point Roy took over as the leader. After a semi-successful attempt to bail us out of our period of being broke, Zauron finally disappeared completely from the game.

Old Members:

Wildcat - One of the first members of the guild. Moved to Elite Faction is its early days along with Squiggle and Bassmaster. Only one not to return.

Mrs Q (Miss Q/Miss Quimbe) - Another of the first guild members. Met through S3[Oz]. Went on to form her own guild

Lagerdup - Not one of the oldest members of the guild but still played a major part. He was the guilds first ever barman. Deleted in a server bug and unable to be restored due to having a corrupt core. One of the 4 that went on the Whores AGM (photos in the library).

Bassmaster - Another one of our first members. Left for other guilds a couple of times but kept returning. Recently founded his own guild. Guess it means he aint coming back.

Wyvern - Ex-moderator and long time member. Gave alot of his time to the guild, even when he didnt have much. Left during a period of in-guild arguing.

-*Wizzy*- - Long term member and for a long time our guild Moderator. Lack of a PC unfortunately stopped her getting online and she's since faded into the background. We can only hope she'll be rejoining us at some point in the future.

Holymage - Another of our old members. Spent plenty of time as guild staff... once as Record Keeper and later as Moderator. Left only recently to help Mrs Q with her new guild.

Boko - One of the best outfitters seen in any guild. Before the arrival of branded weapons he actually managed to turn a profit out of outfitting. Since stepping down from the post of outfitter he's gone on to moderating. Unfortunately, due to subscription issues, he's no longer with us.

Jar-Jar - Ex-outfitter and long time whore. Wasnt in the job for longest of time but kept things running very nicely while she did it. Kept a regular appearance on the boards until the subscription troubles kicked in.
